BABY PEEPS!!!

BABY PEEPS!! 
 Last Thursday, May 3, I became the proud mama to 25 fuzzy little critters.  I am raising chickens!.....not to eat, but for eggs and the fun of it.  I have 9 Barred Rocks, 8 Golden Sex Links, and 8 Faverolles.  They are already beautiful!  The chicks range in age from 1-3 weeks old and some are getting their adult feathers and combs are starting to show.  In the chicks I bought (locally) we have a 90%+ chance of them all being pullets (young hens).  I am kind of hoping we have 1 rooster in the bunch too :)  All 3 breeds are heavy layers of big brown eggs too!  I will be posting more pics as they grow....which seems to be daily!  Here are some from the first day I got them :)

ANY PLANS?

The holiday weekend is upon us and it's the last official weekend of summer.  Does anyone have special plans or going to do anything fun with their families?  It will be a quiet weekend for us here....just relaxing and working in the studio, which isn't work really when you love what you do :)  Some new fun things will be created!  Tell me what you all will be doing.
